What is the Cleveland Honeybee Festival?
The Cleveland Honeybee Festival is a vibrant celebration of honeybees, native pollinators, and the power of community. This nonprofit event is organized by the Cleveland Honeybee Festival Committee, with Honeybee Education & Pollinator Experiences presented by the Ocoee Region Beekeepers Association (ORBA-TN) in partnership with Bee City USA–Cleveland, TN. Proceeds support local beekeeping and pollinator education initiatives throughout our region.
Held in downtown Cleveland, TN, around Johnston Park, this free, family-friendly event offers a full day of hands-on learning, interactive exhibits, artisan vendors, live music, and local food—all centered around pollinator education.
Pollinators are essential to a healthy environment and a thriving community. Since becoming a Bee City USA affiliate in 2023, Cleveland has embraced a shared commitment to protecting pollinators through education, engagement, and local partnerships.
As the festival kicks off National Pollinator Week, it serves as both a joyful celebration and a meaningful reminder that when we work together—like a hive—we can all “BEE” a positive force in our City with Spirit.

Madelyn Tallent & Deadwood Revelry
Madelyn Tallent and her band, Deadwood Revelry, bring a sound rooted in country soul and honest storytelling. Her music carries wild-honey vocals wrapped in country grit, with raw lyrics that reach deep and linger long after the song ends.
Blending warmth, edge, and emotional authenticity, Madelyn writes songs that feel both timeless and lived-in. Her storytelling connects quickly with listeners, drawing them into music that is as heartfelt as it is powerful.
On stage, Madelyn delivers a grounded and captivating performance—whether appearing solo or backed by the rich, roots-driven sound of Deadwood Revelry.
Grant Bias
Grant Bias (performing as BIAS) is a rising country artist who gained national recognition as a Top 9 semifinalist on Season 24 of NBC’s The Voice. Known for his powerful vocals and high-energy performances, Bias blends modern country with gritty outlaw influences and authentic storytelling that connects easily with audiences.
Now based in Nashville, Bias continues to build momentum touring and performing at festivals and venues across the country, including renowned stages like The Bluebird Café and The Listening Room. He has also shared the stage with artists such as Gary Allan, Dylan Scott, Chris Lane, and Neil McCoy.
At the Cleveland Honeybee Festival, Bias will bring his dynamic acoustic performance to the Honeycomb Stage, delivering the kind of engaging, crowd-connecting show that has made him a favorite with live audiences.
Our Story & Founder’s Message
🐝 The Cleveland Honeybee Festival did not begin as an event. It began beside a beehive.
As a mother and beekeeper, I discovered honeybees alongside my son, Max, who lives with high-functioning autism. What began as curiosity and even a form of therapy slowly became something much deeper. Beekeeping offered focus and structure, giving us a shared purpose. In caring for the hives, we found connection, confidence, and growth together. Through mentorship and involvement with the Ocoee Region Beekeepers Association, I began to see that the power of pollinator education extended far beyond our own family. What helped us could also serve our community.
When Cleveland became a Bee City community in 2023, it felt like the right time to expand that vision. In 2025, the Cleveland Honeybee Festival was created as a place where education, conservation, small business support, and community connection could come together in one meaningful day.
“What began as something personal has grown into something shared.”
Today, the festival operates as a nonprofit community event supporting local beekeeping and pollinator education in our schools. It brings together beekeepers, educators, universities, Master Gardeners, artists, and families to celebrate pollinators and inspire stewardship for generations to come.
And at its heart, it is still about learning together.

The Ocoee Region Beekeepers Association (ORBA) meets on the third Tuesday of every month at 7:00 PM at the PIE Innovation Center on Parker Street in Cleveland, TN. Each meeting includes discussions on various beekeeping experiences and features an open Q&A session, creating a friendly environment for both new and seasoned beekeepers to learn, share, and support one another.
